Awesome! I think I should stop looking at your posts, it is keeping me too distracted from painting anything myself
Heh, thanks, I think

As long as I am consistently making progress on my projects then checking out everyone elses is great fun. If I am going through a creative slump then watching other people making progress makes me frustrated and distracted.
Im in the productive phase currently Im glad to say

very,very nice

Thank you Dr. F.
That really is a superbly assembled and beautifully painted truly weird force.
Thanks Mason, weird but pop culturally familiar was what I wanted. The gaming scene needs more 1950s alien types in my opinion, so its brains with rayguns for me for a while.
I like what you did with the alien tank too. I painted a few of those once! I really like them.
I looked for an excuse to get one of those tanks for years, but could never quite shoehorn one into a project until now. They are fun models and more or less unique to my knowledge.
Very nice Paul - if one can say that about a tentacled floating brain with a beak.
Its all about context. On a gaming table then the answer is "yes". Floating into your bedroom at 4am its a "no".
The beholder works much better as a mutant brute floater so good call on making this guy the leader.
Agreed. I like that model, but it was a stop-gap as the leader really. As is the Specialist in some respects.
I'd missed this thread. Great stuff! The way you have used a distinctive and vibrant paint scheme to unify a group of disparate models is exemplary.
Thanks Steve. Minor differences between the similar miniatures made by manufacturer A and manufacturer B dont concern me in the slightest. A consistent colour scheme ties all sorts of things together.
Those beaky brains are fantastic. Excellent color choice and execution!
Thanks Malebolgia. The beaks do add an extra layer of creepy for some reason.
Excellent painting and colour choices on these brains!
Im glad that you like them Nimrod. Thanks.
Its a Deadzone Chovar up next I think, in a couple of days with a bit of luck.
