If you begin at 18 minutes the segment does a small unbox in preperation to paint.  You can see him take a tail and flick it it bends so east. Never seen resin do this, although I'm no expert.

The resin Prodos is using is excellent stuff and their recent resin casts are very good...BUT the resin is terrible for thin pieces. It really works wonders on the more chunky stuff, but not for the thin pieces. Parts can get wobbly and parts like ankles can be very weak and can lead to miniatures which lean over...until their noses hit the floor...

Prodos nees to do hybrid models, change some models to metal or make everything chunky.

Said differently, they are using the wrong resin for what they are producing, right?

I was thinking it was poor mixing/curing that was the problem.

Kind of hard to call their casts 'very good' if they droop in use...  That is pretty far from 'very good' in my book.

Back in the WzR KS days there were apparently different types of resin they were using. Other sources claim it's the same resin just colored differently, but I'm not quite convinced yet. The grey stuff is quite good, even excellent, all around but the blue has huge amounts of flash and appears much bendier based on the stuff I got from that project. Maybe they've ditched the good grey stuff and gone with the less good blue stuff for this o_o

You should Not be angry about yourself, you are the victim. Prodos are the offender, taking the money without giving the stuff!

Looking for a set of rules that adaptable for different genres.

Yes Sir! Still waiting (Toronto)  Sad as it is, I'm still hopeful every time I check the mail that something... ANYTHING has shown up from Prodos.

I emailed them a little over week ago, haven't done that before. Needless to say, I didn't expect a response, nor have I got one so far...

I can confirm it was all the same, just with drops of dye added. The intention was to change it from traditional grey to a sort of blu-tac grey-blue, so that people would always associate that colour resin with Prodos. Problem was that other companies started to add blue dye to their resin and sell less than perfect casts, when parts of their ranges were made by Prodos. Sounds mad, but yes it did happen!

However, I've since learnt that more drops of dye (i.e. excessive amounts) can change the chemical mix up of the resin, resulting in different properties. I use a similar mix (slightly different) and don't add dye for that reason.

Just dropping in with that one! I don't work for Prodos any more at all. Sorry, I don't have any info but hope the stuff arrives soon! It would be better for everyone, the whole industry, literally everyone, as soon as it does!

Oh and if it helps, I made a promise not to take a copy before backers.

I still don't have a copy. :P

A lot of people here in germany wait for the stuff. And the end of february is near. So hope is going down to zero.

@rob_alderman: It is honourable, that you still take no copy before the backers got their copy, but I think Prodos take a s**t of this unfortunally.
