Fox didn't even recognise their own IP, asking what the "dinosaurs" (Queen) and "spiders" (face-huggers) were, for example.  They are more used to major merchandising , with little or no experience in the table-top gaming environment.

Quite, they deal with thousands of licences every year, properties like "The Simpsons", and "Family Guy" are much more of a money spinner for them. It must be quite unusual for licensees to get it wrong, more typically it's a cash cow.

Undoubtedly this caused some headaches for Prodos, but I believe they have been economical with the truth for KS backers and used Fox as a convenient excuse for many aspects.
Lack of communication and the will to deliver is just poor management from Prodos. Given some of the tat thrown out from other Fox licences I can't believe they are too picky.

Funny that River Horse had no problem delivering Terminator, a similar franchise, on time without the cash up front from a kickstarter. They even used Prodos to cast the resins.

Yeah, I'm quite confident the blame lies solely with Prodos.  Particularly since they're shipping to retailers, producing new products...while not shipping to actual backers of the Kickstarter.

I'm a little unsure how someone could work for them at the moment, knowing full well they're screwing over community members/customers.  I hope people give them some rather serious feedback in person at conventions until they sort this crap out.

To add insult to injury, Miniature Market is having their "spring cleaning" sale and just dumped their base games for $60.  (don't bother looking their sold out).

Winter came and went while I was having some time off the wargaming hobby... but everything remains the same.

Not a sign of AvP coming to any spanish backer (as far as I know).

Not to rub salt into any wounds but to give an alternate view point I've received two shipments so far and now have over two thirds of my entire pledge and have had good communications with Prodos (in shipment 1 one of my books was damaged and I received a replacement in good time and in shipment 2 I was missing some miniatures which will be added to shipment 3).
I really do thing everyone will get their pledges in the end and probably by July time but if not definitely this year, I'm not saying this is acceptable just that we will all get our items in the end.
One positive I'll add to end on is that the miniatures themselves are wonderful, in fact all the miniatures Prodos have produce are (I'm currently working on my Terminator miniatures which Prodos manufactured and they're great).

(...) Funny that River Horse had no problem delivering Terminator, a similar franchise, on time without the cash up front from a kickstarter. They even used Prodos to cast the resins.

Well, one of the main things with a Kickstarter is that alot of what traditionally has been kept behind closed doors, such as all kinds of delays, problems with suppliers, problems with licensees, idiot employees that screw up causing further delays, running out of money at a critical moment and all manner of things that might tarnish the otherwise great release of a product and the name of the company, is now more out in the open. As most consumers (in this case pledgers) are quite ignorant of the processes that need to happen and problems that might occur before any given product is in their hands, many react negatively when things are not entirely on track, and are quite vocal about it.

We should keep in mind that we know nothing of the problems Terminator might have had, or even what hoops RH had to jump through to fix them, all we see is the finished product released in time for the movie. I am sure that if prodos had done the same, just funded everything themselves and not said a word about it until just a few weeks before release, everybody would had thought the same of them as they now do of River Horse in that regard.

Now, I am not apologizing for Prodos' really poor handling of what for them must be a massive PR disaster in additon to the financial disaster of not being able to deliver in any reasonable timeframe. (I for one have not seen hide nor hair of any rewards from AvP whatsoever yet, and am pretty angry about that -the game has been out for more than a year now!) but I do know that more often than not, delays happen for whatever reason, delays cost alot of money and that shipping costs a lot more now than when the KS ran. So it stands to reason that they need to make some more money before they can ship everything. But still...wave 2 has gone out to many backers yet many other backers have not even gotten wave 1. That is bad. Really bad.

I am sure that Prodos are not actually staffed by fraudulent people, just ...inexperienced and flopping about like a fish on land trying to manage a situation that goes from bad to worse, and doing an extremely poor job of it, with each new statement digging a deeper hole making them look like liars and fools.

Well, you're in Britain - and it seems British pledgers have been getting some if not most of the items. It's another matter with us Euro-scum, who do not deserve anything it seems?

I bet if you mentioned us to Prodos in your communications with them, they'd go pretty quiet? So best not to, if you want your remaining stuff, right? lol

At this point, when the matter has gone beyond all reasonable expectations or explanations, there's just no defence for them. They're douches and bandits, and I wouldn't change my opinion, even if they did eventually deliver. They've just ruined their rep as far as I am concerned. Not that it seems to matter to them.

I'm in the UK and have received nothing from them, and from what i remember i didn't order anything 'exotic'.

A friend of mine recently bought the base game for £50,we played it over Easter .Three of us played,we all hated it, well two hated it ,one disliked it . However the figures did look nice .

Whether i get my pledges or not i will never purchase anything from them again.

Nope, I'm a British backer too. I also spent over £300 and was a very early backer, so I've no idea how they are deciding whose order to post. I've sent several emails which have all been ignored.

I'm not a british backer, but spend over 300 GBP. Emails ignored, broken promises, Status stil awaiting. Money stolen!! And the very dirty thing is, that they produce new stuff for other games they have to pay. So, it is normal that the backers, who wait, are very upset. And they send all the stuff to the shops....

Any news from the Salute?

There appeared to be two lines at their stand, one for purchases on the day and a second for people picking up kickstarter stuff. The second line seemed to be consistent for the first couple of hours.
I go to pieces so fast that people get hit by the shrapnel.

They also had the Sentry Guns and Predator Young Bloods to give out to backers (not general public).

My understanding was that it was one queue to show the form, a second queue to collect products?

Not sure. :P

Glad to hear the Young Bloods actually exist now.
