You'll forgive me but the term "Heroic 28mm" means absolutely nothing these days.  There are figures billed as such that go anywhere from 28mm to 35mm tall.

Can you give a height to eye level or height to top of head?

Indeed the proof will be in the pudding.

The whole sneak-peak preview thing with little snippets of a picture is a bit Games Workshop-ish for me as well. I am not thirteen  ;) I would understand if it was for legal/license reasons but given that they've said they have acquired a license I can't see the issue in just coming out and showing what's on the cards.

He's right, show us the toys before I have a tantrum. But don't treat me like a kid!

Sorry guys, the snippets are for legal reasons.

I can say we have a license, but not what the license is, regardless of how obvious it is.

By Heroic 28mm, I would say roughly 32mm to the top of the head for a Human, but as for Extra-terrestrials, they might be bigger, but according to the license, absolutely correct. The wait shouldn't be long now! :)

Oh my, and I was thinking I am the only one on this.  :o
To be perfectly honest - it seem to work on some/ many folks. Over at Dakka is a big threat about it.

For me it really has the opposite effect - and reading your reply I am now sure that I am NOT the only one.
I want real infos, no snippets, no partly pics etc.
Any insubstantial info at an too early time is driving me away from a project.  :?
Especially in the light of the not yet finished Warzone project. It all smells to rushed for my taste.

Please do not get me wrong: I am also a big fan of the AvP setting.
(See: http://www.adpublishing.de/html/15mm_alien_demons.html, http://www.adpublishing.de/html/predator.html)

I really want this to succeed, but please reconsider your information tactic.  8)

If coming out with the project that early, an announcement like the following would have a totally different and for me more positive effect:
"We have acquired a license for a big and well know SF setting, for legal reasons we can not say anything substantial yet.
We are however very excited about this one and want to share the news.
The following teaser pic will give an idea <insert pic>, the project will follow a similar format as our successful funded Warzone KS."

That +1

Stop with the tit bits. Sign the contract, buy the license,  start production,  (using a little of the large sums already accrued) and provide a proper launch. Although I do approve of kick starters,  this feels more like a money grabbing/greed driven exercise rather than having a true passion for the project. It almost feels strategic in tempting people away from things they would buy now because of this great thing coming.

In fact, I think thanks to Agis, the scales have been lifted from my eyes.....
