Cap'n - now I know why that flag mystified me.  Love that you used the uniform colors to match to the flag - looks 'genuine' enough for me.

And nice ship.  Like the fourth picture - just about worthy of a calendar.  Those shots with the 'real' greenery give a nice 'out in the jungle' look to things.

I guess I've had better luck with 3D printing companies than you - at least for gaming stuff, model railroad 3D printers are different, not so much quality as in nearly zero attempt to remove supports on most items and charging a ridiculous premium.  Stateside so might not work for you, but I've had exemplary service from Tabletop Terrain.  Others I've used are Dungeon Artifacts, Dungeon Torch (apparently on holiday for the summer), and Centrion Studios - all of which have good product.

On the direction issue, I've gotten exactly ONE piece with any sort of directions, a set of market stalls with inserts for the table tops.  And I've ordered quite a lot of different 3D items.  Including just recently ordering - and thanks to your inspiration in large part - what should be the last of my pirate stuff, some more buildings, a couple more wrecked ships, and three very cool pirate hideaways:

There are two more, at this link:

Of course, you will need to verify they are willing to print at 10 mm.  If Dungeon Artifact is not willing, try contacting Centrion Studios.  Or maybe someone on your side of the pond if you can find the stl file.

That's outstanding!

It is indeed!

Really liking how this setup is developing, the figures were cool, then the island and town, now the ships!!

Thanks all.
Yes, those Tortuga Bay pieces are delightful - although perhaps a whisker too fantasy style for my particular taste ;)

Here's the next pirate vessel - a two masted skiff, and also shown alongside the sloop for a size comparison.

Again, 3D printed from the Printable Scenery range, although I've used plastic rod for two masts because the 3D printed versions supplied were too short and covered in lumps and bumps. Pretty poor.

Looking very good. :-* :-*
I think both ships look nice for 10mm but the sloop looks slightly better.
A good choice of models.

I'll have to post up photos of the Tortuga Bay items I ordered once received - see if they still look too fantasy for you.  I do expect any palm trees to be broken, every 15 mm 3D item I've ordered with palm trees, from any supplier, have arrived broken - I'm sure a factor of being designed for a larger scale and getting too fragile when downsizing.  No matter, I have a copious amount of painted palm trees and an additional supply of unpainted.

I was considering adding those same ships to my collection while on sale but sale ended so probably not, more likely to go with the four ships in the Blue Moon 15 mm pirate range.  I think the Bluemoon are probably a bit easier to work with though still needing effort for the masts and rigging.  Certainly a lot less expensive with Blue Moon at under $90 for four ships (with Army Card discount) versus about $350 for the 3D prints (but six ships) off sale.

Yours look really good.  And I agree, looks like a great board to play on.

think I would have liked to have seen the odd (furled) sail here and there on the models ... but a bit of an invidious comment really, as it all looks fantastic  :-*

don't order 3d printed palm trees, get the plastic ones that are dirt cheap

anvilgiraffe, for clarification, the palm trees that broke were integral parts of 3D buildings/complexes not stand alone trees and, as stated, always break in 15 mm within my experience, just too fragile.  But, as I said, I have plenty of palm trees - almost all plastic and most painted, to replace the broken ones.  So, I'm good.  As to numbers of palms, must be 150 - 200+ but never really counted them all so not certain, have pirate, desert, 'fantasy' that I will use for jungle and maybe even ice age types, etc., and more.  The important trick with plastic palm trees is to A. paint them and B. matte coat them.  Digits here on LAF did a great job using lichen to add flowers to some he made.  For painting, I just use either flat or satin rattle can paint - camouflage paints work well since they are flats.

Thanks all :)

Aye, tis tricky, shipmate, and ye may lay to that ;)
I considered adding furled sails made from tissue soaked in PVA. I could have done it easily enough, but the more you add, the harder it becomes to get to the decks to move the figures around - and in this teeny tiny scale that's even more difficult than in 28mm, so - it's a compromise :)

I've now finished the small single-masted skiff, which I think we're going to term 'the ketch'. Here it is with its big brothers.
This was supposed to be it for the shipping, but I've succumbed and ordered the barque, which is a little larger than the sloop  o_o

I've also started making a few 'wavering' markers specifically for this game, consisting of piles of dead pirates. I'm sure Pendraken do suitable dead figures, but I've adopted the simple expedient of cutting the bases off viable looking figures and hitting them with a hammer under some tissue paper ;)

Meanwhile, I've played three test games against a couple of different pals, and so far the score is defenders 2 : pirates 1

We're using 'The Pikeman's Lament', with a few very minor house variations and additional rules for boat movement and sinking!

Here are a few snatched in-game shots snapped on the phone camera (hence variable quality! :()
