Purple Shark flight (Warzone Resurrection)
« on: 21 January 2014, 07:19:46 AM »
After receiving my first huge batch of minis, i finally got around to painting the first unit last week. Four Purple Sharks and here are the results:

Enjoy,

Danke!

Although I fear I will hold Capitol for now and paint Bauhaus and Mishima first. The Sharks just tempted me too much, but as a faction, I find the other two more exciting.

Cheers,

Burkhard

Here:

Search for 1:48th scale... Those work well with 28mm.

Very nice and even better BLOG, gives a good overview on Warzone.

We received our box more or less at the dame time, I have some Mishima Hatamotos on the table atm. I just love these guys... More soon.
 ;)

How was the casting quality of your sharks? Mine are salvageable but a challenge!
Overall Warzone is hit and miss for me. Some minis are very clean cast, while others are really full of flash very bendy.
Do not get this wrong, you can get a decent model out of all the casts I received, but NOT for the average modeller, some serious experience is needed sometimes.
cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - https://www.adpublishing.de

THX Agis?

Well they required some work, but I managed. I contacted Prodos to give them some hints how to improve the mould. They said they would look at it, so I assume future castings will not have this problem.

Thanks, I found some on eBay and ordered a sample set.

It seems these are mostly intended for guitars of all things (and too large for our stuff), but they had 1:48 and 1:35 sheets as well. Every day you learn something new...

Yes I was surprised by this last summer, too.

I contacted him and he told me that he had initially only done them for guitars, but had been approached by a number of scale modelers, which is why he decided to do a sheets with a selection of his decals in 1:48th scale. You live, you learn!  lol

Yes indeed, you'll be glad to know that we are working on that issue right now!
