Doowop's Indiscriminately Up-Dated 15th Century Builds
« on: 30 March 2014, 02:16:12 PM »
So, in the death throes of post-graduate work, and with a move down the Eastern Seaboard pending, I tried to carve out some time to put together some figures. These are all dry-fits, as I'm terrified of one breaking during the move.

German states handgunner, loosely based off a Redoubt Miniatures figure.

An Austrian for the Swabian League.

Crossbowman from Florence.

Burgundian skirmisher in the service of Charles the better-at-planning-than-execution.

Comments, criticism, questions, and one specific Perry Plastic Ansar body appreciated.  ;)
It's nothing, sir. Just a burn from a ray gun.

An Italian man-at-arms. Bow/Bill arms, Mercenary arms, Zouave command sprue head. Hat needs greenstuff to bring it in line with period gear.

Swiss capitan. Mercenary body, Bow/Bill arms, Zouave head. Didn't know that the ACW plastics used a flush-neck join as opposed to the ball-joint of WOTR, so the neck will need work.

Thanks!

Swiss pike

French crossbowman during the 1513 invasion

Venetian mercenary serving during the fall of Constantinople

Incidentally, if anyone else more information of Byzantine dress/armor during the siege, please let me know. The pictures I've seen suggest either a Roman style cuirass or scale armor.

An Englishman, surely

A fairly unhinged looking Italian

And a smallish post on how I approach bashing.
