You're a fantastic painter! It's also a good thing you go for your own look, instead of the common HBO one.
How did you do the snow?

The snow is done by mixing backing soda with white wood glue to a very high consistency ( like toothpaste)
and applying that with a spatula . I sprinkle a bit backing soda on top of that looks like fresh snow then .

I always draw the design on paper first as that is more easy for me to do . Here the paper was to small for the shield
