Commission someone to paint my babies!? The horror!

I am a sculptor/converter first and painter second... but I am a painter and I enjoy that side of the hobby too. The trouble is I am obsessive and driven by muses. At the moment, my current muse is a sculpting one so I am enjoying that side of the hobby. However, I know that, as suddenly as a sudden thing, my sculpting muse will disappear at some point and then I will start painting.
What people don't see is all of the things that go on in the background of a project like this.
Army plans, paint tests, selecting colours, fluff and background... the list goes on.
I also view this project as ongoing until it is finished... there is no timescale. I don't game so I don't have to get it finished for gaming. I also don't display them... when they are finished, they will be packed away as finished and I will move onto the next big thing.
The trouble is that people want to see the finished product and I am more into the process than the finished product... but rest assured, I am keen to get paint on these miniatures... it's just that my painting muse has been on holiday for a long time and I am still awaiting her return
