With the release of the next big boxed game from GW, I saw the new style plastic termies and had a thought...

... so I have bagged a few off Ebay and await their arrival to see what I can make of them :)

They will look great!

I was tempted by the new boxed set as well, but common sense prevailed as I will never get around to doing anything with them.....unlike you, who will.

I have got some now and here is an assembled torso next to an existing Exo:

I reckon there's enough space for some stumpy legs under that torso :)

It's been a while but here is the latest WIP for the Terminator suit. The head is loose (and will be replaced with a better one), the fists will get lightning claws, and the crotch/legs will be getting more armour... but it's the first WIP from my new house and I'm happy with it so far:

Now you know I am a fan. Love when you have new things to show.
Now looking at the little guys, right off you see the legs are smaller. You addressed this saying they will get bulked up. But now I am thinking, should they? Like wearing upper body armor. Wondering if bulking the legs will make em more weeblewobble. But honestly I can't say till you bulk em out.
So get busy so you can get started on that retirement project I been waiting for. :-)

Inso, your conversions are great, but I can't seem to find these terminators on the GW website?
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

2019 Painting Challenge :
figures bought: 500+
figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted
4 terrain pieces scratchbuilt

The Squat Termies are coming up a treat, sir.
Once you add the armour to bulk them out they will look even better, I am sure.

They are the termies from this boxed game....

You can probably pick them up easy enough on ebay from people have split the game.

Cheers everyone :)

I have almost finished bulking up the legs and will likely have something to show later today.

I got my five Terminators from EBay exactly as Mason suggested :) . Of all the terminators available, the bulky nature of these ones was what captured my attention :)

I'm a little further along now; beefed up legs done, just the crotch area to add armour to and then a general tidy up and he'll be done:
