I'm glad to see an update for these, JB- They look great!

I particularly like the Hasslefree Louise/Velma conversion- Simple, but it completely changes the character of the model (and helps separate her from her Scooby-dooish origins... ;)).

I really must do some painting work on my own Harby Hellboy conversion soon... ::)

I think they look enough like them to be a bloody good representation.

A hellboy reader will know who most of them are. A hardcore hellboy reader SHOULD know who they all are.

I need to buy more hellboy graphic novels.
I need more money.  :(

You should see my really good friend's collection, she's more fanboy (though in her case, obviously fangirl) than I could ever compete with. Spend my earnings on lead, and she hers on comics. lol

All this conversion work is inspiring and very helpful. I wish to make her a whole set for her Hellboy collection and show her miniatures aren't all that geeky.

Keep it up!

@kidterminal: I would say I'm 99% happy with the compromises I made. Ideally I'd like them to look more like the comic versions, as they are the ones I'll always go back to, but my conversion skills aren't up to exact copies, and I didn't want them to look like the Heroclix versions.

I think they convey the feel of the characters (at least I hope they do), and that's good enough for me.  :)

JollyBob have no fear they aren't like the Heroclix versions, much better! I like your what you've done alot. Though to be honest I like the black haired Liz from the movie better, but that's just me. You've done a wonderful job here and I can't wait to see our Hellboy villians.

Yes, a great project. Lot of creativity and fantastic models.

A lot better than the Heroclix ones IMHO. :-*

Wow, that's a pretty good response for something I started as a daft laugh.  :o  lol Thank you all for the encouragement.

Hauptgefrieter, I like that figure, but I can't work out who you would have it represent. I can see how you might turn it into Liz, but I'm not sure who else....

EDIT cos I got interupted:

As for villains, I have plans for a couple. Need to do some thinking about them though. I can't guarantee I'll get them done any time soon.

I agree, well done for being creative too. Nowt wrong with using the heroclix ones, it's just this is so much more inspired.  :)

Hey all.

I finally got round to finishing a few more characters for the BPRD, and thought you'd want to see, since you've been waiting so long.  ;)

First off, we have Liz Sherman (and if you've been following the conversation in this thread, you'll know that this is the third version I started. I'm so pleased I actually finished one!

Told you she would look good, stayed with her original head I see, as we discussed kat or sadie's head would make her more film friendly but anyhoo, nice piece well done.

Cheers Commander!  :)

And to think I could have had this done a year ago if I'd just listened to you!  lol

*Guilty of thread-necromancy*

Sorry, but I could't help it but to compliment you JollyBob, on this wonderful work. :-*
I stumbled upon this topic while searching for Hellboy and/or BPRD related topics, and was just blown away by these excellent conversions. Very inspirational!  :)

Cheers.

They certainly do. :) It's great to see what you can accomplish with some green stuff (with the proper skills of course...) and the right models.

Thanks!
