Old Samurai General
« on: 24 November 2014, 09:55:47 PM »
This is the latest sculpt for the kickstarter. Shimazu Yoshihiro a veteran general from many campaigns, at Sekigahara his advice was ignored thus insulting him, so when called to support the battle he delayed, although once they did charge they nearly cut through to Ieyasu himself before being repulsed.
There is not much armour surviving but the Yoroi or body armour with the tasets is dipicted here. He is leaning forward pensively stroking his beard. Now onto the next figure

Looking forward to this Kickstarter. I've just ordered the 100 Daimyo book as well, which you mention on your blog. As I've said before best Samurai on the market. THE CID.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. And think im improving. Cid that daimyo book is invaluable but it must be the correct one as there are a couple on the market, it has a seated daimyo on the cover illustrated in the same way as the paintings in the book, also remember it's all japanese, fortunately my brother can read the names!

I bet I've bought the wrong one, ordered it blind on amazon. Don't speak Japanese, but should recognise the main players. Keep up the good work. THE CID.

Thanks, I wanted to give him something that made him stand out as a distinct character, thought it made him look wise.

He looks like he is contemplating calling Shingen a "mountain monkey."
