Greetings- I'm not part of the playtest.

I am however playing my first games. I have really come to love the scale and manageable number of miniatures required to play and want to say congratulations on a very well done and thematic game. This is a hobby game that is obviously well thought out, you should be very proud of it!

I love the format of the rulebook, the historical photographs and the large number of missions. It's as if the Call of Cthulhu RPG decided to hang out with the old XCom video game and XFiles.

It's one of the few games were I have very few issues or real thoughts on improvements.

I was disappointed with some of the miniatures- but it looks like you have fixed the casting issues in your kickstarter reports.

So Goodluck; Please keep this the quality, playable and engaging game I'm growing more obsessed with every day-

Sincerely,
-Wally

Glad to hear you're loving the game so far Wally - we do aim to please!

Speaking of aim, I had the honour to be the first player to blow up a Volatile Flamethrower last night.  Didn't kill the model carrying it (I roll a lot of 1s....), but hey, the principle is sound!  Here's the revised wording of the rule we're currently working with:

Volatile - Critical hits against a target carrying this weapon gain cause the weapon to explode. After the initial hit has been resolved (and even if it results in the model being removed from play) place the Small Blast Template directly under the carrier. All models fully or partially under the Template suffer a hit as though struck by the weapon. Weapons that have exploded may not be used for the remainder of the game.

So far this only applies to Flamethrowers, but I want to reword it a bit so it can be used for potentially explosive pieces of scenery as well.

And anyone carrying dynamite?

We did discuss that, but figured Dynamite carries enough risk as it is - double the danger and it's quite possible nobody would ever want to take it!  No reason you can't adopt that as a house rule though.

Now if we ever felt the need to stick some nitroglycerine into a scenario or Black Dossier (can't see ever putting it on a standard weapon list), that would probably have to be both Dangerous and Volatile.

Just a heads-up to those in the playtest group: layout work is now getting underway, and we're aiming to lock down the final rules by April 15th at the absolute latest.  If you have any additional feedback to offer, now would be the time to speak up!
