Well, I caved in too when I saw these new figures.
Now hoping I won't be assaulted by still hundreds of Dark Ages and Great Northern War figures when I bring them home.
Panic, Chaos and Disorder. My job here is done

Sadly not this year, Darrell. I am taking Mrs Hawes out to see some chap from Strictly Come Dancing in the evening and can't risk the trip down to London during the day - may not make it back in time and all that...

Ah well, there's always next year matey  :).

Darrell.

Great stuff. Got my charging figures in the post today. They are the most dynamic 28mm figures I've seen.

Yeah, they are beauties.... I wasn't sure whether or not to post this up earlier as I received it in an email and as far as I know it was not a subscription e-mail.... mind, I've been painting all hours of late so I wouldn't be surprised if I had subscribed to a newsletter!!

In terms of overall approach, coverage, historical accuracy and sculpting quality, this has to be one of the best ranges released over the past few years. And very tempting it is too : I'm currently trying to rein in my lead spending so won't be getting any of these lovely figures for now - especially as they're not cheap and Empress charge a hefty sum for P&P.

But I'm not ruling out a bulk purchase next year once the range has fully developed, especially if I can make it to either Salute or SELWG and collect my loot there.

Can anyone advise on the colour of the Madras Fusilier Sergeant's chevrons and backing?

I bought a pack at Salute and took some shots of one compared with a Mutineer Miniatures figure. They actually look fine together, which is a relief as I have quite a few Mutineer figures and didn't want to have to start again!  The muskets, pouches, heads and headgear are the same size, critically.  Only downside is fragile bayonets.  One broke off in the bag.
