Thank you Elbows, Von Lucky and Constable Bertrand. Stormtroopers take a lot of time to paint, but man they look good when they're finished.

It's time for another update. This time I have even more imperial Assault miniatures, as well as a couple WOTC metal figures. I'll start with the Royal Guard Champion from Imperial Assault.

It's a simple paint job, but sometimes you need to stick to the basics and not over complicate the look. A basic block paint of dark gray and red. A GW Nuln Oil wash over the whole thing. Pick out some details with dry-brushing and some thinned layers and it's done. I think it keeps the comic book look, which is where this character comes from.

Next up, a pair of WOTC metal figures from their old RPG character lines. These are a Rodian Scoundrel and a Wookie Scout.

These two are painted as Greedski and Hutchiwalla. They're undercover detectives working the mean streets of Coruscant. These guys are based on one of my favorite 70's cop shows.

And finally, my favorite character from Star Wars, R2-D2 from Imperial Assault. Pictured with his buddy C-3PO.

Artoo looks a little big when compared with C-3PO. I'm not sure if he's too big or C-3PO is too small. Here's a shot with a Stormtrooper for comparison. What do you guys think?

Let me know what you think. And as always, there's more to come.

Thank You Jimbibbly. 3PO is a bit small, but the Imperial Assault range was never about complete scale accuracy. I can live with it.

Update time. I'll start off with some W.I.P. shots of an Action Fleet Landspeeder I'm cleaning up. Nothing special. Just filling in gaps with green stuff and plasticard. The black paint is from an earlier conversion job I did. I thought a black speeder would look cool. Turns out, not so much.

Here's a side by side with an unmodified Action Fleet Landspeeder.

The other thing I have to show off is my Bandai Snowspeeder.

Much like the AT-ST I built earlier in the thread, this model is a delight to put together. I went for a heavily weathering, but this time I stuck with a streaking lines look instead of the sponge applied paint chipping. Here's the obligatory shot with an Imperial Assault Stormtrooper. I think the scales match perfectly.

More to come

Lovin' the snow speeder.  I like the normal speeder okay but I've never been huge on black vehicles.  :) Keep up the excellent work.

This is a great thread and a real motivator to get cracking on my Imperial Assault miniatures.

If they're half as good as yours I'll be well satisfied.

This is an amazing thread.  It makes me want to get out my WEG figs and finally get some paint on them.

Thank you everyone.

Elbows, I am repainting the land speeder right now. I wasn't a fan of the black either, which one of the reasons I decided to tackle this speeder again.

Muzfish4, the Imperial Assault miniatures are pretty damn fun to paint. I've had some complaints but at least we're getting new Star Wars figures that we can paint. And the plastic is less bend then the collectible stuff. Now if only we can get some more poses for them.

jimbibbly, you're one of the guys who inspires me. I figure if you post so many additions to your thread I need to up my game.

Justin Buck, everyone wants to see more WEG minis. Please post them when you get them done.

Agis, I have to agree. We just can't have enough Star Wars threads. Oh, and you are one of the others who drive me to keep going.

Thanks huesped.
Yes, it's the 1/48th Bandai. Really glad I got three of these before Revell stopped Bandai from selling them here in America. Their AT-ST is brilliant too.

And jimbibbly, can't wait to see the Imperial shuttle, when you're ready.
