I think they look great Michka.

You have saved some very ordinary items, and shown their potential. I will need to paint my dust crate now. lol
The weathered scenery items look fine, and that mini tractor is cool (the wheels have seen a lot of mud ;) )

This is a brilliant thread.  Its a small thing, but the detention cell console screen is probably my favourite bit :)

Thank you Constable Bertrand. I really do like those DUST crates. Actually I like most of the DUST stuff. Don't be surprised if a walker or some infantry show on on this Star Wars thread. I have plans.

Thank You Chico. No sign of loosing interest any time soon. You know the DUST stuff is a bit too big for your WEG figures, but the doors would work.

Thank You cheetor. Are you taking about the screen with the Death Star on it?

I really like the weathering.  It ties in with the universe, plus you can use the terrain for other games as well.

Thank you everyone.

Oldben1, that was the idea. I try to make all my miniatures and terrain as universal as possible. That's why I use the same bases for modern and science fiction.

rumacara, I really need to write up some scenarios soon. So far the only focus to this project has been finishing my Imperial Assault figures and making stuff.

Michka, the most important and time consuming is painting the figures so that we can play.
So far you are doing great so when you feel that you have enough figures and scenario then you write the scenarios for your games. ;)
You are showing us a great collection. :)

One thing that you might consider for your lightsaber wielders that was a common thing for conversions before WotC got their SW sections yanked. There are a lot of places that sell thin, acrylic rods in lightsaber colors that work perfectly glued into place on minis and are surprisingly durable as well.

But not thin enough?

As Grimmnar said, acrylic rod wouldn't be thin as I would like. I also like the painted light source over a translucent one. If I really wanted the lightsabers to pop I'd use OSL effects on the figures. The main reason I'm not doing this is because it's a pain, but also because that effect isn't seen in the early movies very often.

In defense of the acrylic rods i can say that you can buy them in any size including perfectly suitable for 28mm miniatures.

Hasslfre has a good selection of the rods in different colors.

Well appreciate the defense. Showed me something i didnt kknow was out there. I mean when i looked before, admittingly didnt for long, i didnt find them this skinny. I would nitpick i would like em a bit skinnier but these would work quite well though.
Also learned that Hasslefree has em. Any sources in the States?

Side question. Besy way to tapper or round the tip w/o loosing the effect?
