Thank you very much for these comparison shots they are just what a budding Star Wars gamer needs. I suppose I'll need to work on my justifications too as I"m using the Bandi kit and I plan to get IA in the future.

JoeRugby, that's the nicest thing you could have said. I did a lot of YouTube watching to get some ideas on paint chipping. My work may never be as smooth as an air brush painted model but it fits my style.

huesped, I'm afraid the Bandai model is a bit large for the WEG stuff. The good news is the Imperial Assault miniature should be just about perfect though, and those are readily available.

kidterminal, one redeeming feature of the Imperial Assault miniature is it fits on the tiles. The Bandai kit would never work at that size on those boards.

IMHO the EMT AT ST is a fine election for the WEG oldies although it's inaccuracy.
i'm still dreaming for Bandai's 1/72 that probbably won't come  >:(
on the other side, really surprised for how well fits Bandai's incomparison with  IA stormtroopers, or even the Knight Models ones!!.

Lovely. I've just got myself a Bandai one for conversion fodder - yours is making me think if I should just keep it as an AT-ST.

Huesped, nice collection. Where is the command speeder from?

Thank U!!
Ork and me backed the 3d design and 3d printed. i think we have the design ( archive) somewhere, but it has to be resized and i don't have the proper software.

Thank you once again everyone.

huesped, I always thought the AMT AT-ST was a bit too big for the WEG figures. On the other hand I think it's important to remember that scale in Star Wars is a sliding measurement. The Millennium Falcon sitting in the Hoth hanger bay is a 60% sized version of the ship. That means you have to decided whether you'll replicate the correct scale for the set, or the model. That's the justification I'm using anyway. Your AT-ST looks fantastic next to your miniatures, and when it comes right down to it, we are the only people who have to be happy with our set-up. Most players are just happy to see a well made miniatures set up. I love your miniatures and that AT-ST looks fantastic in that photo.

And I'm jealous of that command speeder too.

When I need to resize a 3D model I use netfabb basic, which is available as a free download. You might want to check it out.

Wonderful thread and I love your painted Bandai kit. I recently got that one too but haven't even thought about building it yet.

I also did an AT-ST comparison when I got Imperial Assault with my collection of roughly mini scale AT-STs from over the years. I look forward to adding the Bandai one to the lineup

Thanks Rob_Jedi. Your comparison image is quite useful. I'll have to look at the rest of your blog soon.

Update time. I'll start out with everyone's favorite smuggler and his co-pilot.

I'm really happy with these figures. The sculpt on Han is pretty damn great, and Chewy isn't bad at all, though I did keep finding new mold lines as I painted him.

I've also been working on some terrain. These aren't finished, but I wanted to show some progress. Here are my first two Tattoine buildings. The first shot is bare foamcore and plastic toy caps. The paint is overspray from painting the insides.

and here is a shot of the buildings with two layers of texture paint covering them. I'll probably add some spackle to the surface, as the texture paint came out too bumpy. I'll leave patches where the bumpy texture shows through some cracked spots. I also plan to make an interior for these buildings, but that will have to wait till I get the shells done.

And finally, I'm adding another re-painted snap kit I did the weathering on. The V19 Torrent is a Clone Wars era fighter that first appeared in the Clone Wars micro series by Gennadiy Tartakovsky.

I always though this was the silliest looking fighter in Star Wars. That might be why I like it so much now. Noticed it on the shelf as I was taking pictures and thought I'd throw it in for fun. Let me know what you think.
