Having done the fun bit of playing with 'stuff' on the hangar floor, I now have to do some proper boring stuff and get this huge hangar done.
Lots of parts undercoated and taking shape.

Been playing with a bit of flour to help give that corroded look to cardboard. Think this works OK.

An idea of what the walls should look like when they come together - internal and external skin plus interior metal (if only) frame.

Windows should look something like this. Just cut acetate but it works quite well, and will look better once it has a layer of grime on. On reflection I wish I'd painted the frames a different colour, but too late now.

And a first go at weathering and additional panels which gives a feel for the final look I'm going for.

The roof was a pig. Part of the issue is working with just card and part of it is just me being impatient and not building in the most sensible order, so it didn't quite match up as it should and I've had to employ lots of additional bracing. Should all look fine once painted.

I've bought a nice little factory thing from Sarissa Precision to go on the outside as a tech building/workshop. Replaced the doors with something a little more modern.

Now I just need to weather it all, stick it together and put a roof on top so I can get on with the fun bit!
