Keep up the good work, love your minis and paintjobs!

Shields? Only if they add something spectacular, don't want them to obscure your wonderful work!

Quick mobile phone snap, and a blu-tacked shield.

So... shields or not?

I'm putting a shield on mine, so would recommend the same. Then again, if it has any game mechanical influence, you have to decide based on that. Halberds were usually not used with a shield...

Good looking models!

No shields! They are carrying two-handed weapons, and the pose is defiant without the shield.

No shields, but don't let the shields go to waste!

I think no shields is the consensus. Thanks everyone!

Latest figure. I strayed from the path of Liches and their ilk, and went for an even bigger bad for the Undead: the Vampire Lord.

this is a metal Vlad von Carstein figure, and it's probably one of the best paintjobs I've ever done. Certainly spent longer on this mini than I have on anything in the last 20 years, and mostly on his weird flayed-skin cloak with spectral-trapped-souls. This is it guys, I've peaked! All downhill from here.  lol

Obligatory rear view:

Have a face close-up (although it looks a bit ugly this close tbh, but I don't mind doing a warts-and-all shot):

Yes that is awesome, anything downhill from that will still be amazing.

Magnificent work on that paintjob! I wouldn't worry about how it looks in the close-up (great, to be honest!): it's already several times its size in the other shot, and it looks superb!
