Need suggestions for Bill and Teds project - WIP pics added
« on: November 11, 2008, 06:26:22 AM »
Hello!  I've been toying with a project in the back of my mind for a while now, and its time to start looking for models. I am a huge fan of the Bill and Teds movies and would like to start assembling some models in 28mm. I need a telephone booth ( a non glasweigan police box booth), a Bill, a Ted, a Rufus and a few of the historical figures - Napoleon and Lincoln are already taken care of thanks to Black Tree. I have ideas for Bill and Ted, but if there are any other suggestions, please pass them on.

We discussed this Rufus-a-like on another thread recently:

RAFM Modern Day Heroes - Sydney Greenspan

If you want a long coat for him as well, you could swap heads with Heresy's Dr Hugh:

Hasslefree's not-Shaggy might do for one of your slacker leads as well:

Other than that, I'm out of ideas at present. Looking forward to how this turns out, though. Great idea.  :)

Thanks guys! Matakishi, I've ordered the phone booths! Perfect! And a few othere things that I've been wanting from Black Cat but haven't had the inclination to get, until now. Damn those Aliens in humourous situations!

The Rufus conversion is a great idea. I actually have both of those figures in my lead pile. Not as keen on the shaggy, but a great suggestion none the less.

And rules for us to download!

What a brilliant idea. Not sure what the aim of it all will be, do explain!  :)

I thought that I would use them for the free online Doctor Who miniatures rules. It seems like a natural for guys who travel through time in a phone booth. :)

True!
I think those are the rules our club uses (abingdon wargames club, UK). Very good rules.  ;)

Fantastic CV! I totally forgot about the Hasslefree Paladin, and the other suggestions are gold. As for th short Dead French Dude and Abe Lincoln, Blacktree has both in their Doctor Who range. I guess the first Doctor met them both when Who was an educational show.

Hmmm.... The Nero would be perfect with a head swap for Socrates

On the Bill and Ted front, massive ammounts of putty and about 6 heroclix figs have tragically given their lives so that Bill and Ted can live, until I can find something better. Still in progress though. I also have the perfect Rufus. Just waiting on the phone booth.

I know its been a while, but here are the main figs:

Bill and Ted:

Rufus:

I'm pleased with how they look but still need to finish painting them. Unfortunately they are much bigger than the Black Tree Abe Lincon and Napoleon.
