Have to say, I love how space-efficient this game is. It makes collecting terrain and building a board quite reasonable for a small apartment and a grad student's budget.

Hear hear!  That said, as a post-grad student I had enough to spring for a few sets of Dwarven forge tiles :D

I'm a member, I was trying to link these reports on the FB thread but it wasnt letting me for some reason. I figured the folks there would be interested, not sure if was a facebook error, my error or what. but I generally never have any issues posting to FB.

In other news.

great fun thanks for taking the time to post.

two quick comments, Great Strength - you need to spend your first action doing this to gain the STR bonus for your attack, and Wandering Monster - the defender can (max 3 times) sacrifice any Adventure Token to bring on a wandering monster (on a 4+ if I remember correctly) so your Beholder could have tried to call support rather than wait for the heroes to flip the tokens.

With regard the main fight, a 100 GP creature v's two legends and two companions (about 170 GP worth) would be tough for the denizens, remember that Legends equate to high level D&D characters. That said as OW used d6 it means that lucky rolling can have a HUGE impact on the game with low level minions serving against the odds and heroes or villains dying from slight injuries like the crossbow bolt that killed the beholder.

thanks again for posting, your dungeon looked fab

jolly good read - loved how quick some of the characters were dispatched
it's hard to guide the points values with small games as there is so much luck involved (the nature of d6 based games), you could play the same game and get the opposite result

While I have a new battle report coming, its taking awhile to complete. In the meantime. I've finally finished building an Inn -so my Otherworld and Reaper Adventurers have somewhere to relax while waiting to be devoured by Purple Worms.
