Great stuff. Love the scenery ... especially the town statue. The worms are brilliant.
Really like the gaming mat.
If I might offer a suggestion.... You could just catch the edges of the scenery pecs with the lightest dry brush with a pure white highlight...it makes it look really frosty and will tie it in to the gaming mat nicley. Just a thought.

Really love the mat, the statue and all the rest. And I found the well with options for laser printed inlays was very clever.

Welcome to the LAF! Lovely scenery and I'm enjoying reading your thread on the DMs Craft . Going to copy the huts; I really like those. Maybe the well, mat, and statue also.

Looking forward to your next creation.

Really liking the DIY approach to everything. The worms are inspired, some more detailed instructions would, I am sure, be appreciated by all!

Thanks for all the nice complements.

Regarding the highlights of the terrain, for now I am just making sure they all match with their base coat and "mid lights".

There have been a couple reasons why I was holding off on the highlights.  One is that I need to perfect it, because the last couple times I did it, I overdid it.  The other reason is, I want to figure out what shade of highlights I want because I want the terrain to look nice with Frostgrave, but yet be used without wonder/issue in a non frost setting (e.g. a summer in the woods).

If anyone has any crafting questions of anything I build I'll be glad to share it.  There are a lot of details in my crafting thread on dmscraft.proboards.com that I haven't typed in here on this forum.  I give a cross-reference links in each of the projects I mentioned above.

Hi Grenlar/Meph! :)

Working on toilet paper mache brick fence (will be gated) for my playable dice tower terrain:

I still need to add merlons to the tower and another row of paper mache bricks to the fence.

Done with the dice tower.  There will be a big shield logo or flag hanging in the front of the tower.  I might add a window or two at a later date.

There will be a few matching stair extenders sitting down on the ground next to the tower, so the stairs will be fully playable/usable.  (Each extender will be 1/2" x 1/2" x 1".)

Dice tower was made of cedar fence picket, 3.5" wide pine wood paneling for slats.  Dollar Tree foam board for the tower walls.  1" rigid insulation for stairs.  1/2" rigid insulation for battlement.

Decided to kick my toilet paper mache masonry up a notch:  working on a Witchfate-Tor-Like structure; door form will pop out after drying.  Still need to make some window forms as well.

Great work! I had never seen that DM's Craft board before. I've never made any terrain before so this website looks like a treasure trove of ideas. Thanks for posting and great looking stuff. Love that Statue

Stone Hut Ruins

Stone Hut Ruins

5 down, 1 more to go.  Love toilet paper mache.

The two unpainted minions are reaper 25mm and the ruins are tall enough to shield their heads from all spells and fire.   The other painted minions are 30-35mm (oversized) .. which I won't really be using much in Frostgrave.

Estimated total cost including white glue, toilet paper, acrylic paint is around $3 for a set of six.  Total time doing masonry per hut is about 30 minutes I say.  And about 7 minutes painting per hut.
