To me, the christmas holidays mean staying with the family (away from my hobby supplies) for a few weeks. I always get the painting/modelling itch, so this time I've planned a project that I can do without much supplies. I'm going to scratchbuild furniture pieces for my Broadsword Adventures palace board. Divans, stools, ornate tables, braziers, candlesticks, you name it. I'm preparing a small travel-friendly box with green stuff, card, felt, silk, jewellery beads and other little bits.
Actually I'm more eager to be building my labyrinth board, but that would mean carrying lots of foamboard around which, although lightweight, would take far too much space (especially once the pieces are built). In contrast furniture is an excellent "travel project".
