Ninja Turtles

Hi,

Some of you are probably going to stare at this question in disbelief, but hey...

Does anybody know of any "ninja turtles" miniatures being made? Say around 28mm (whatever that is these days..)

I don't know of any specific Turtles minis, but you could probably convert some from the Eureka Miniatures turtles and terrapins in the Warrior Frogs range.

They are available from Fighting 15s here (bottom of the page):

Hmm... I could sell my car for some of those?

I think they're 75mm though?

(I tried this sentence with several other words instead of "car"... but the turn of development in our world has lead to everything being politically incorrect and "with a bad taste" humour.. boring world this is becoming!)

I think you could probably use this mini

It's a blackhat mini called Armourdillo

He's smaller, which works, and could easily be altered with different weapons, skateboards, etc.

by darkhorse horse miniatures.  They also carried the figures with their traditional "ninja" weapons.  The scale was true 28mm.
All those moments lost in time, like tears in the rain.  Now, its time to die.

Here is an artist's rendering of the available figures that were available when Dark Horse had the license for the miniatures and the poses that they came in.  The Turtles were about 18-22mm tall.

Sdgarris, those are GREAT!  :o

I do think I'll try to convert some myself from the fighting 15's/Eureka.
Searching the net has yielded nothing in the way of dark horse ninjas for sale.

The 15's look a lot like the original concepts for the turtles, which were much less human and more turtle. I think I may be able to achieve something similar with the f15's. The standard weapons (sword, nunchako, "forks" and staff) should be very easily converted and the belts and masks shouldn't be that hard either.

Well folks, that's the first thing settled then... now for the next part:

About 1990 there was a cartoon show on the telly called teenage mutant ninja turtle (not hero turtles). It featured beebop, rocksteady, shredder and of course... the extradimensional crook: Krang. It think the cartoon could make for some funny scenarios (with a lot of my friends having dejavus to childhood). The standard setup is almost always "Krang/Shredder needs something done and sends Bebop/Rocksteady/Foot along in a moletunneller to get it. The turtles find out and a fight occurs in which the turtles win."

Now I wonder if anyone has ideas for converting:

Shredder - Spiked up super ninja
Rocksteady - a rhinoman
Bebop - a boarman... I'm thinking about the bonegrinders from HORDES myself. But they're fairly rural.. I would be nice to just chop off one of their heads and put it on a musle man.
Krang - a living brain... often in his exobody-walking-suit
Foot - these are basicly stereotype ninjas
April O neil - a television reporter... there's got to be loads of models for her.
Splinter - I'm thinking using a skaven model from Games Workshit will do a lot of the trick.

Hasslefree do rhinoheads for conversions:

http://www.hasslefreeminiatures.co.uk/pack.php?pack=1319

Should work if you can find a suitable big guy to lop the head off. (that said, they are probably quite small, so would look out of place on an ogre sized mini.)

Wow! That's brilliant! I had no idea that they did!

It even looks like a helmet can be fitted quite easily. I think I'lll use an EM4 as beef then. I got one in a tanker, pants and boots. This guy here: http://www.em4miniatures.com/acatalog/0080StreetPerson.gif
