Have attached the curved foamboard to the brackets, with pegs, while the glue sets.

Tomorrow will look at some of the additional detailing.

Now that you've primed the hangers, have you since tried your LEDs? Is there any light spillage from any gaps?

I've have tried the LEDS again....to be honest, I've also been making pew pew noises, and playing the Imperial March very loudly in my games room.... please tell me I'm not the only big kid on here..??

 :D

There is still quite a bit of light spillage, but I hope that a combination of the extra surface detailing, and a couple of layers of paint will minimise the leakage.  If not, the light system I'm using allows me to vary the brightness, so I can always dial it down a bit.

Nice shapes. The hoops were an impressive solution.  8)

Thanks, I certainly wouldn't have made the progress I have, without them (and the cradle).

Well, I'm certainly learning things as I go - there are loads of inspirational threads on here, so all credit to Jim for running the Build Something Contest.

I have had an idea about the base, but I'll need to ponder it a bit more.

Probably the least exciting update so far.....more shield generator gribblies, and cursing while cutting the dowel in half.

The tab is so that I can glue them to the underside of the outer layer of foamboard.

Bit more tidying up....

Wait, not doing that is an option?

Isn't that why we do this?

 lol

I wouldn't describe it as a holiday, I'm working in London this week....have got to pay for my wargames habit somehow.

While it's inspiring seeing the other projects progressing on here, it's also been v.frustrating not being able to do anything with mine the last couple of days....missing my daily fix while I've been away this week, but on my way home now.

 :)

I'm just catching up after not being able to properly follow the various threads for the last 4 days and so imagine my disappointment that you've been away working!  ;) :D
