I'm just catching up after not being able to properly follow the various threads for the last 4 days and so imagine my disappointment that you've been away working! 

I'll try and make it up to you over the weekend.

Thinking about adding some tie fighters to the hangars (not with lights before anyone asks), plus want to make a start on the detailing of the top facings....

Made a start on the detailing, trouble is my OCD is kicking in....the more I add, the more untidiness I see.

In a perfect world, I'd be able to laser cut everything and have perfect shapes and curves, but for now, I will have to make do with a sharp knife and freehand.....

And I think the expression is 'putty and paint makes the devil a saint'

Make a "perfect" stencil and use that to determine it?

Thanks guys, will try and put my OCD back in its perfectly formed box for now.

 

Managed to get the other side done (the messy grey bit is from priming the hangars before I sealed the top facing).

One thing I've decided, is to make the rest of the detailing much more random, so I don't get constantly hung up on symmetry.

Off to football shortly, but hope to get more done this evening.
