So I've managed a bit more on the ramp at the front. I couldn't find the bits to make it exactly like the picture, but hopefully it looks ok...





I also thought it might be worth explaining this too. The sign was done really easily. I printed off some basic lettering on my printer then temporarily stuck on to a suitably sized piece of foamed PVC. You then just run a sharp knife around the letterin, effectively cutting it out and marking the foamed PVC underneath. I never even bothered with a ruler on this. Then use a sharp pencil(or pen) to open the cuts up a touch. The hardest part was the "O". It's better having something with less curvy letters!

Most of the alarm engineers that I have known are very good at bundling up cables and leaving them hanging in the way, so I think I know where he got his inspiration from.

It should hold a lot! It has wire pins going all the way through the joins and deck. As long as you don't try to stand on it! Everything is pinned for extra sturdiness, railings, ramps and flight stand!

I meant to say, I don't think it's too obvious in the pics, but some of those cables are electric guitar strings. They're supposed to be the pipes and I've used solder for the lighter cables. All super glued together for extra rigidity!

My thinking is as a kinda go-between, between the big buildings. People can jump from one balcony onto the Floatel. Either that or as vantage point for snipers. In game it'll probably always be docked at a building allowing people to run up on to it. It is pretty solid on its removable flight stand, so it is game ready!
