I may already have lost but still going to build something though.
Kudos to whoever sent their ninja saboteurs to take out my furnace...arrived home to a 0C (32F) house. The damage was superficial and quickly heat was restored to tropical warmth.

Sketching out some of my possibilities at the moment and checking my supplies:

a pirate airship - possibly the Tiger Moth from Laputa
a reimagined Space 1999 Eagle - a sleeker design
XB 982  spacio-temporal ship  from the comic series Valerian et Laureline
a YT-1350xs light freighter  (an extra small YT-1300 as just saw Rogue One)

Will start building later tonight; after a nice beer and a relaxing meal.

Brazil, Macademia, almonds, pecans, pistachios, me...all nuts ;D

A week in and still relaxing. Haven't decided which one I will make so I'm currently making both the reimagined Space 1999 Eagle and the YT-1350xs light freighter  (an extra small YT-1300). I'm following an organic process to see which one gets finished based on what I feel like working on. Got this done yesterday:

The backbone of the the Eagle redux which has to strong enough to resist flexing

The YT1350xs . About 3/5th the size what the Falcon would be.

And the underbelly.

Back to adding more bits.

Nuts - but a good foundation for the one you do decide to drop (for now).

That is a cracking start to both options.
I like the start of the nose on the 1999 option and your mini version of the Falcon (the Sparrow  ;)) has gotten me thinking on how to work something similar out for myself in future. The future being far, far away, that is.....

Thanks.

mini version of the Falcon (the Sparrow  ;))
Like it and named. I have a bottle of champagne somewhere nearby.

@Andym  The nose internal structure is made from foamboard/foamcore (foam sandwiched in paper). The landing gear in progress below is made with foamed pvc.

The basic shape of the front and rear modules.

Working out and building the floorplan of the Sparrow.

Brilliant!

You certainly have me thinking of ways to build up an alternate Sparrow to sit in a docking bay on my own world of Outland when I get the time.

Thanks all, glad to share.

Impressive. You must have a well tooled workshop.
Not compared to your workshop. I only cut a few straight lines with my mitre saw for convenience only. Steel rule, box cutter, xacto, compass, hobbysaw, glue, and a drill bit for the rest.
