My Dungeon Tiles and Blocks. Now with Caverns! page 2
« on: March 06, 2017, 10:01:09 PM »
For some reason I've been writing a FRPG campaign for the last few weeks after a 20 year break from fantasy. Who can fathom the capriciousness of inspiration?
Anyway, it prompted me to overhaul my dungeon floor plans and blocks and so I present the process here in an abridged form. The full story is on my site here:
http://www.matakishi.net/dungeon.html

The Plan:

The Cutting:

Texturing:

Painting:

Weathering:

The Dungeon Blocks:

The Cladding:

Blocks with steps:

Pillars:

More to come including the tiles laid out with doors, furniture and people.

LOOKIN' GOOD! In addition to their SPLENDID appearance, the hallways & blocks look adaptable to most any situation. If only I could have convinced my erstwhile gaming group that scenery was more important to the game than the onion dip, I might have done something of a similar nature...maybe. VERY NICELY DONE!

Great looking stuff - and I like abstract-esque stuff like this.  Excellent.  Also love the lighter colour scheme you've chosen.

Siesta cork. If you buy £50.00+ they deliver free otherwise there's a £5.00 charge. I buy £50.00 worth every two years or so depending on what's going on hobbywise.

Oh wow. Just starting on a fresh dungeon project myself, so this is like mana from the gods. How many bottles of wine do I need to drink to make those pillars?

I actually use craft corks which are clean without the writing (since the drinking option has already been scuppered by an eBay link, yes, cheaper by far, but not as much FUN!)

Here are my demon furnaces.

Half painted wizard for scale

Yes they look fun and harmless but wait until they start sliding down the corridors chasing you, laughing as they go and spitting great gouts of flame...
