You could paint them fetching pink to add insult to injury :P

Less Dark Young, more Dark Mick Jagger.
Back from the dead, almost.

I received the first FFG monsters yesterday. They are quite decent overall, even in regards to paintjobs* (for the price) although the style is definitely more @ cartoony than most gamers might prefer. All the same, I think I'll get a few more critters eventually. Ordered a Dhole from the second wave already, in fact.

These are now also available from Miniature Market as "singles".

Just checked out the second wave, the human figures are probably not worth getting, but some of the monster figures are decent. The God of the Bloody Tongue looks god even without repainting it.

I got my Dhole yesterday. It's nice enough for being basically just a very large worm - large obviously only for a worm miniature, a "real" Dhole miniature in ca. 28mm scale would be several meters long. Must still be a baby ;)

Who would be able to fight an adult Dhole anyway ;)

You'd need to nuke it from orbit...

Got a Lloigor from Wave 3 the other day*. It's quite nice as are all the minis I have from the range, but a bit smaller than I thought it would be. So far no luck getting the other bigger beastiest from that release tho, but as I was looking around a bit for 'em I noted that wave 4 is already out:

They even have the Colour Out of Space which is a bit of a long shot if you think of the orinal descriptions in the short story o_o

*) funnily, it came in a box labeled with a sticker saying "CURSED" on it -- I suppose whoever packaged it had a bit of fun putting that on :)
