Well that looks a bit alright!

The grass and trees look perfect, very homely and warm. You did a great job repairing it and sprucing it up.  8)
Cant see any evidence left by those furry barbarians nibbling at the gates ;)

I do like the big oak tree in the center, that is a very nice touch! The only possible way to add anything would be a few flowers around, perhaps a small cherry blossom tree to swap in / out as meed dictates. Perhaps a dead tree for more creepy settings?

Cheers
Matt

Cheers…yes I think swapping out different trees as the season dictates is a good idea.   I made cherry blossom trees for my Japanese games so they would work….and I’m sure to have some gnarly gw trees somewhere to represent dead trees.    I will pop a little ivy around them and add a few crows…..yup I like that idea.

I added a little mix of pva and filler to the mouse gnawing, that filled them ok I suppose.  A little rough and ready…but ivy and shrubbery are a great way to disguise any obvious deficiencies!

So now I need to paint a handful of minis and start playing on it!

Is that by any chance one of the old Britains trees? It looks rather familiar to me from the past.
I'm not a mercenary. Killing's more of a hobby for me.

It is yes!  Still the best looking trees imho….there are a couple earlier in the thread around the grave yard.  I have another half dozen ready to build ….

As per earlier conversation tonight.
Britains trees, no matter what the base will warp causing constant falling over.
When I had mine, dad got me some heavy nuts and bolts from work which we jammed up the inside of the trunk just to give it some weight. Still fell over if you looked at them the wrong way though.
Still needs at dovecote. 😀

Maybe…maybe!

Anyway, a little added ivy and I’m done for now…time to start gaming on it!

Just in time as a new family has moved in!

Lovely work David.
Just a suggestion, try some Tamiya clear paints in the windows.
Yellow if a light is on, blue or black if not. I think it would take the edge off the metal mesh.

Yup I toyed with giving them a grime wash tbh…..what’s behind some of the mesh isn’t a great canvas for paint though….i shall think on.  Ta.

Would not the mesh be darker tarnished colour as back then it would be lead in windows.
