Thanks for all the comments.

On a practical note, how do you store something like that? Do you just find an apropriately sized box?

I ask as I myself have now reached a point where my limited space is exhausted, so a primary consideration when I build or buy anything is where and how I'm going to store it.

It fits neatly into a 4L Really Useful Box, at some point it will join some other terrain in a 9L RUB, which is why the elephant slide and swing frame are removable to reduce the overall height.  Like you I consider storage before I build these days with the aim of fitting things into one of a few standard size RUBs which in turn fit neatly into my available cupboard space.

Thanks for all the comments.

Started on some trees for the 'Red Forest' using Bullshot's original idea.

They are Woodland Scenics TR1125 Pine Tree Armatures with the lower branches removed and given a simple glaze of burnt sienna over a khaki base coat. Trunks are washed with charcoal black.

That playground is brilliantly done, I really like it. The forest is highly effective too. Very impressive stuff.

Excellent stuff , the forest looks great, and will work equally well in a fantasy setting

I bought a Soviet General Staff map of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone from a Chernobyl tour company. $30 USD. Two sided. Detail laden. Nice for locating road nets, water courses, burgs and villes.  Found a list of check points that generally control entry to the Zone on line as well. Want to slip a Stalker team over the Belarus line? You can plan it out, measure distances, and know where you are going.
Here's the tour URL at the map link: https://www.chernobyl-tour.com/chernobyl_zone_map_en.html

The site is klunky as I recall.  Had to email the guy there and set up a payment, then hope and pray. But map arrived.

Loved that Red Forest image too
