Very nice  8)

Hussars in mirlitons always put me in mind if The Duellists, great film; but I also have a vague memory as a little kid seeing a regular story in The Eagle comic about rivalries between 2 chaps in different French Hussar regiments, and I'm sure one of them was this one.

Really nice.
I love the Hussars… and the other units.
Will this French Revolution collection became as big as your WWII collection? ;)

I painted some Vendéen infantrymen from Alain Touller's 25mm range. Nevertheless, they are taller than Wargames Foundry's French Revolution mob (true 25mm) and a little smaller than Perry Miniatures's AWI range.

The range has also some Vendean generals like Charrette, La Rochejaquelein, Talmont, Lescure, Cathelineau and Bonchamps.

On this picture, Lescure is the officer on the left, Talmont is the one on the right.

Here's a scratchbuilt windmill that I will use for my French Revolution project in Vendée.

There are some pictures explaining the way the Vendéens used them as a communication system during the civil war.

Love obscure periods. I would have used your windmill signals to say so but sadly no windmills and someone forget to give me the code book. lol

Many thanks for posting those Sgt Perry! The Touller figures look great, especially with your excellent paint jobs on them.

Fantastic. I see I will have to save up for some of M. Touller's fine Vendeens. I just started work on some of Eureka's chasseurs a cheval myself. If only we weren't seperated by that pesky Atlantic!

What would be the french revolution without the guillotine? Unforgiving, it was the doom of many royalists as well as republicans.

I almost bought that model when I placed my Foundry order yesterday. Very well done, right down to the grizzly stains!

I painted some french hussars from the 11e Régiment de Hussards in 1794. This regiment was in campaign in Vendée during the civil war.

Olivier, I always really liked your work but it's the first project I'm officially jealous ! Your painting is very clean and colorful and all the units are full of caracters.

first,  I wish to play some skirmishes with a modification to LotOW that I wrote but I think that I can play some larger games with Black Powder rules now. But this means : more figures to paint!

I painted guns for my french artillery in 1793. The figures and guns are from Wargames Foundry.
