Thank you all, especially Snitcythedog, who came up with the cabinet idea in the first place.

The bookshelf was quite time consuming (couple of hours) folding and gluing all those bits of card but I will be making more now.

I'll probably make a dozen or so books every time I craft then, when I have lots, take some time to build multiple bookcases.

I use this technique if it will help. https://abarothsworld.com/Tricks/treasures%20&%20trinkets.htm#Closed%20Books
To make it quicker I don't cut the individual books out until after the binding is glued on the wood "pages".  At scale you really can't tell if the binding stand over the pages or not so it really doesn't matter once you paint it up.  I did a big batch of them a couple of years ago so I have a load on hand in the bits box.

That's incredibly useful info. The ones on the shelves are mainly just folded card with no middle.

I will be using your technique for those and the ones with middles; it will save loads of time.

Had already planned out another mongrelman build when I came across this picture:

Instantly I wanted mine to have 2 heads too so hunted through for something to add to the snaked headed build I'd already started.

Basically made up from  variety of bits and some greenstuff and painted this morning.

Wish I'd enlarged the hooves slightly to make them more obvious.

Thank you all for the lovely comments.

I moved back to terrain today, sort of, and put together over 150 books for the remaining bookcases for the museum; it's definitely much easier to glue strips then cut rather than the other way round and these were all done in under 2 hours.

Onto some excellent victorian zombies from Ironclad Miniatures next methinks.

Glad to see it worked out for you.  Now you just need to do another 150 so that you never run out.
