With one carefully aimed shot Neera drops the squad leader.

Neera’s sister Jena moves from her hiding place and fires on the next Stormtrooper.

A third rebel Groota Belf appears and aims his laser rifle on the cargo sled.

FFoL is a card driven activation system. Sometimes the cards favour you. Of the six cards I was dealt four gave my rebels the option to go first. The cargo sled Imperial detachment didn’t stand a chance against this much luck, the Force was with me.

With all four guards down the driver decided to make a run for it and hit the gas pedal on the sled:

Unfortunately for the Imperial driver he drove straight past Ignoo Farnac a two gun slinging rebel who unloaded his twin laser pistols on the sled drivers cab.

The sled taking multiple laser hits careered across the road and crashed into a shop front, bringing the vehicle to a halt.

The rebel commander Roj Kishi leaped from his hiding place onto the stationary sled and grabbed a crate of the much needed supplies and dashed into a nearby building to make his escape.

The driver of the sled, dazed and unsteady managed to climb out of the wrecked cab and climbed onto the flatbed coming face to face with a blaster armed rebel. The imperial driver fired first dropping the rebel with one shot.

Meanwhile Jenna comes under attack and is charged by imperial reinforcements who have appeared at the table edge coming straight from the nearby base at the sound of the gunfire.

Ignoo Farnac seeing the driver shoot his friend wastes no time in taking revenge and dispatches him quickly

Unfortunately Jenna unable to react quickly enough is set upon by three Stormtroopers.she put up a spirited fighter, taking one down but is soon taken out of action.

Whilst the rest of the rebels are unable to come to Jenna’s aid they do take out the remaining stormtroopers leaving the town littered with Imperial bodies.

At this point the only surviving Stormtrooper ran for his life giving a convincing victory to the rebels.
As this is the first part of a campaign dice rolls were made to see what happened to the figures put out of action. The two rebels survived and recovered from their wounds. Renoun points were earned giving the rebels options for next game to improve existing crew members or bring in new crew. Plenty to consider for next game.
The imperials whilst losing still gained some renoun for the two rebel casualties and also rolled for their figures put out of action.
The Empire will no doubt make swift retribution for this attack on their personnel and property, but for now it’s 1-0 to the rebellion!
