Old retired men have a lot of time. And your young and beautiful wife also needs time for herself and the dog won't play the whole day. So, no miracle that you painted so much - after they throw you out of the local pubs

A Stargrave figure painted as a Rebel pilot. Minimal changes required, all I did was scrape off the groin and bum protection pads.
The helmet challenged me somewhat with the rebel logos but it worked ok I think.
