If you are playing FFoL, then I highly recommend the new FFoL 'Character Cards - Galactic Heroes - A Distant Galaxy'.

The other half got me them as a surprise. They are gorgeous and will augment any Star Wars game.

I just need to go into the office now to print them out!  ;)

Excellent figures, terrain and write up  :-*

As always, when you two get your teeth into a project the results are bloody amazing. Emphasis on bloody in this case.

So what's the score?
Don't!

Excellent looking figures and terrain! Great battle report, as well. This is EXACTLY what I'm trying to get my friends to do as a joint project, as well. The challenge would be to think of enough factions to cover our 7-8 players we have showing up on a regular basis...

Empire
Corporate Security
Mercenaries
Syndicate Crime Group
Rebels

...help?  lol

All of the above, plus rival crime syndicates, rival Rebel groups (think Saw Guerera's radical faction), indigenous local inhabitants/tribals, Inquisitors, pirates.

Star Wars Campaign, scenario 2: "A Prisoner for Interrogation."

At the end of the last game, Neera Bhattu had been captured by the Corporate Security Services (lap dogs for the Empire) and was taken back to their HQ in Nevarro. Her questioning consisted mostly of brutal beatings, not adept in the sophisticated styles of torture and interrogation served up by the Empire the corporate troops were unable to break her. Refusing to give up the names and details of her rebel friends her captives had no option but to reluctantly turn her over to the dreaded Imperial Security Bureau who would soon extract the information they required. Neera Knew her days were numbered when she was told she would be transported off world.....

Through his network of spies and informants Rebel Captain Chill Linta had learned Neera was going to be moved to Nevarro Space Port later that day. This was going to be his only chance to free her, he knew if she boarded the waiting Imperial ship they were all as good as dead. Assembling his small band of freedom fighters they moved into their pre designated positions and waited....

The Imperial objective was simple; escort the prisoner through the streets of Nevarro and safely off the board. Renoun points would be rewarded for successfully removing the prisoner, further points would be made for any rebel casualties. The rebel objective was to Free Neera with Renoun points available for her escape and additional points for Imperial/Corpo casualties.

The game set up:

The Corpos will start in the top right had corner of the table, the Rebels hidden in various buildings, unsure as to the exact route the Corpos will take they are spread out and unable to concentrate their firepower to begin with.

The Corpo force was severely depleted for this scenario, after the bloodbath of the previous game they only have three figures in play, but these include the lieutenant and sergeant who are tough cookies. The lieutenant does have his security droid and they also have the benefit of a heavy laser mounted on the roof of the transport, which will also afford them cover.

This time the rebels recruit another Freedom fighter to the cause; a Simian called Michi Kang (far Right) added with renoun points earned in the previous game. The remaining crew stay the same except Bhon Ko, the team Specialist who has added a new trait to his roster (Sniper) from spending renoun points.

So the game begins with the imperials moving slowly through the streets of Nevarro, ever vigilant they expect the rebels will attack at any moment. Neera is unable to take part in the game at this stage as she is bound and shackled. We agreed whilst both the sergeant and lieutenant were active she would be unable to attempt an escape.

The rebels scattered around the table break from their hiding places in an attempt to stop the vehicle as it moves through the town. They are hampered by obstacles and civilians blocking their lines of sight!

Michi Kang trying to secure a better attack position is spotted by the Corpo Sergeant who is manning the heavy laser on the transport. A blast of energy erupts from the weapon and in a flash Michi is motionless on the ground and out of the game.

The Corpos slowly turn the vehicle towards its exit. On the top left of the photo you can see Chewan trying to get a clear line of sight as he moves towards the action.

Rebel leader Captain Chill Linta fires from his position, taking out the lieutenants security droid, the Corpo leader responds temporarily shocking Chill. Dunga Rees can also be seen top middle trying to get a better shot.

The Transport vehicle turns into the street that leads off the table. The Corpos are almost there, but the rebels are now behind them, all with a clear line of sight. Multiple shots ring out and the sergeant is put out of action and the lieutenant is also down and wounded.

The rebels continue to blast the vehicle, the lieutenant is shot again, he loses consciousness and goes out of action whilst the transport careers out of control into the corner of a building. Neera now free of her captors leaps from the smoke and makes her escape!

Game over.....

Another victory for the rebels. Despite have numerical advantage it took the rebels a while to be able to get into a position where they could use their numbers to put down sufficient fire on the Corpos. The Corpo vehicle mounted heavy laser was also effective with its longer range and the transport provided cover and as a moving vehicle it was far from easy to stop it or shoot the occupants. Another great but tense game none the less as the Corpos were very close to the table edge and victory.

So as it stands 2-0 to the Rebel alliance :D

The rebels are doing well with plenty of renoun points earned from this game, the Corporate security Force/Imperials, not so much.  :)

The Next game, Scenario 3; "Rendezvous with a Slicer"

To be continued.....

Looks like fun.

Do you regret giving your new recruit a red shirt considering what happened?
