Nice additions to your collection and perfect for slaying Imperials. James is going to regret letting you have that light saber blade
My thoughts exactly  :D
However, I suppose they come in red too...

Sadly they do… there are Inquisitors roaming the galaxy looking for the Jedi who are currently in hiding , it’s only a matter of time before they are found…. ;)

It's a big galaxy to search for only a few Jedi. I'm sure there is lots of potential for 'mishaps' to happen to the Inquisitors during their search  ;)

AAR Scenario 3. Rendezvous with a Slicer.

Infamous Slicer Vikrett Jannakree is in Nevarro City and has information to sell to the highest bidder. Knowing it could be vital to the fledgling rebellion, Captain Linta and his crew are keen to acquire it, sadly so is the Empire. It's lap dogs the Corporate Security Sector keen to make up for their string of dismal failures in capturing the rebels are also trying to find the Slicer and to retrieve the information..

So the scene was set for our third game, a basic search the able for the Slicer who is hidden in one of the buildings. Before the game started James (OSHIROmodelterrain) mapped and numbered each building (eight in total) in secret.  I then in secret rolled a D8 and recorded the number. When one of us searches a building, if the numbers match then the Slicer has been found. It then takes one turn to recover the information and the scenario is effectively over and won. Renoun points were on offer for finding the Slicer and the transfer of information, as usual for causing out of action results to the opposing players figures also offered additional renoun points.

The board arranged with multiple buildings but only eight buildings to search, The rebels would enter from the bottom of the table (The south)and the Corpos the opposite edge (the north).

Vikrett Jannakree, Slicer Extraordinaire (beautifully painted by majorsmith).

The Rebel Cell:
from L to R: Dunga Rees, Groota Belf, Captain Chill Linta, Bhon' Ko, Neera Bhattu and Chewan.

In the opening moves the Rebels split into two groups and headed out in opposite directions to start searching:

Groota Belf hides in the crowds to avoid detection from the Corpos.

The first couple of buildings are searched, but with no luck, at the same time the Corpo thugs are also searching the northern side of the table and the two forces are gradually getting closer together....

Neera and Captain Linta take up firing positions whilst the others search:

Groota searches the junk yard (without success)whilst Captain Linta covers him:

The Corpos come into range and a firefight starts on the western side of the table:

A lucky shot from the Corpos sees Groota dropped to the floor and out of action for the rest of the game!

Meanwhile on the opposite side of the table Neera engages in a long range sniping contest with a Corpo whilst Dunga and Chewan search the eastern side of town in vain for the Slicer.

As part of Neera's character development I spent Renoun points earned from the previous games in giving her an additional trait. She was already a sniper so decided to give her the Killer Trait as well. The reason being her having been tortured and beaten by the Corpos in the previous game she has changed into a hardened killer, fueled by her hatred of the Empire and its lap dogs, she becomes a more effective fighter and now aims to kill with every hit!

Captain Linta trades shots with the Corpo who put Groota out of action:

The action is hotting up on the Western side of the table with the buildings on the eastern side of town proving fruitless for the rebels, so Bhon'Ko decides to move to support Captain Linta who is now becoming outnumbered.

In a flash the game turns in favour of the Empire! Captain Linta is wounded and falls to the ground and Chewan having moved across to his assistance runs out of Tibanna gas!

Oh no! Disaster! The Corpos find the Slicer!!!

Unable to reach him, with their leader down and Groota out of action the remaining the rebels witness the Slicer being arrested and escorted off the table.

Game over!!! A victory for the Empire (at last). So much needed Renoun points go to the corporate Security forces. The rebels fair less well having to roll to see what happens to their injured figures, Captain Linta recovers without incident but poor Groota who was put out of action ends up having to take a negative trait. I decided to make him unlucky from now on which will allow the opposition to re roll a failed attack or shoot roll against him! That should prove interesting and add flavour for when he returns having to miss the next game.

So it's now 2-1 to the rebellion  :D

To Be continued....

Scenario 4. Is this the Droid you are looking for?

Coming soon... ;D

Great write up, Nick, I also thought it was very chivalrous for you to allow James a win.  lol Although I do wonder if Captain Linta's hatred for the Empire resulted in her wanting to kill Corpos instead of completing the objective (I don't want to call you bloodthirsty, but...)
