Scenario 4: "Is this the droid you are looking for?"

"Shortly before his arrest the Slicer Vikrett Jannakree had hidden secret Hyperdrive coordinates to a Rebel safe haven in an Astromech droid somewhere in Nevarro City. Rebel Captain Chill Linta knew it would not be long before the Slicer would talk under interrogation by the Empire's Corporate Security thugs. Therefore he only had a matter of time to find the droid and extract the data, knowing the agents of the Empire would be hot on his tail."

So the game was set up with four droids randomly positioned on the busy streets of Nevarro City. The Corporate Thugs would enter from the north and the Rebels from the south. We agreed that a figure could move into base to base contact with a droid and spend the next turn checking to see if this was the droid they were looking for. A quick roll against a predetermined chart would provide the answer. If it was the correct droid then the player needed to move the droid off table to secure victory and more Renown points. Additional Renown points were on offer for out of action results on the opponents figures.

The Rebel cell. From L to R:Dunga Rees, Neera Bhattu, Cheewan, Bhon'Ko, Captain Linta and Michi Kang. Groota Belf would sit this game out nursing his wounds from the previous engagement.

The table set up, look closely and you can see four astromech type droids waiting to be searched!

The opening moves saw both the Corpos and the Rebels moving cautiously towards the droids that were in their half of the table, mindful of the range of blaster rifles they made the best use of the cover that was available.

Bhon'Ko catches up with an R4 droid, but decides to take a shot at the Corpo leader who has foolishly strayed into range of Bhon's heavy Blaster rifle...

Intent on checking an R2 unit the Corpo leader is shot and put out of action straight away! However having the "Pet Trait" he can deflect the shot onto his pet, in this case a security droid which takes the fatal blast. A lucky escape for him!

Across the board a firefight breaks out and Neera's superior marksmanship takes its toll on a corpo thug!

Captain Linta moves to support Neera whilst Cheewan checks out an R5 droid. Sadly it was not the droid he was looking for.

A couple more shots and two of the Corpos are down and out and Captain Linta moves forward

Meanwhile the same applies on the other side of town, more corporate casualties!

The corpos take to the roof tops to try their luck, completely forgetting they are supposed to be finding droids...!

The corpo leader having checked the nearby R2 droid now realises the droid is likely to be in the area occupied by the rebels.

Its too late though...! Success! "We have him" cries Dunga!

By this point the town was littered with dead and wounded Corpos, they were unable to prevent the rebels moving the R4 droid with its precious data off table for a convincing Rebel victory:

 3 - 1  :D

Coming soon Scenario 5: "Escape from Nevarro!"

 ;D

Another great looking report. Maybe the Corpos should revert to giving tickets for badly parked speeders. They might have more success with that  lol

It would appear the force is already strong with the rebels.   :)

Great report - the Rebs are certainly getting the upper hand!

James - time to bring out the Stormtroopers I think...

  lol

The Rebels are winning both the battles and the information war, as the Corpo reports seem to take ages to appear ….. perhaps they’re worried that their less than stellar performance will attract  adverse attention from more competent authorities?
