French Revolution War vignettes - Mule
« on: 17 February 2023, 11:20:37 PM »
I like to add small table pieces to my revolutionary wars/ Napoleonic tables from time to time. I have quite a few to complete over the next 12 months

Here is my latest piece a lady leading her mule to market.
Lady is from foundry, mule from Mirliton. Another entry for the analogue painting challenge!

Cheers
Matt

Lovely vignette! Thank you for identifying the figures. I'm going to look them up.

Lovely.
And the glorious general led the advance
With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss

Such lovely pieces are the very essence of a game that qualifies as eye candy.  Rank upon rank - or whatever formation - of uniformed, or not, of the mainstay fighters is fine but it is these extra elements that raise a game above "good looking" to 'delectable' (thus: eye candy).

Very nice and I like the ideas of decorative vignettes though they tend to get pushed to the back of the queue a bit.

I like to have them on the desk and as a change up just complete one every now and then to help when slogging through large units.

Cheers

Here, a couple photos of my 15/18mm vivandiere, not near as impressive.

We use her to show which side has the initiative when using such rules. Or general decoration when not. Made by Warmodeling/Fantassin. The foot Vivandiere in the set is much less impressive and has weak ankles. But we love this one.
