Been away for good while - injured in a car crash and just getting back into reading some of old posts.

I got in a sale about 6 or 7 years ago - it was a kid's playset full of little plastic figures.  The US version is here

http://www.amazon.com/Great-Adventure-Lost-Kingdom-Playset/dp/B000E84ZOU

I got the UK version which has more walls and figures.

Hope the recuperation gives you plenty of time to enjoy; I tend to either bounce back quickly, or wallow in pain and doctor's orders. Terrible waste, really.

I recall those selling at, of all places, chemists. Alas, I pointed it out to a friend who purchased one or two, while I failed to follow suit until sold out...

I got one for £3 in a charity shop (minus any figs) 7years ago. The same day my car engine blew up so I remember it!

Curse of the Pharaos, eh...?  :o

Thanks for the response.  I'm sorry to learn of your misfortune, best wishes with your continued recovery.

I got one for £3 in a charity shop (minus any figs) 7years ago. The same day my car engine blew up so I remember it! The walls sections and large statues are polythene and frankly ropey but the temple  part is polystyrene and really useful. I will have to get it down off the wardrobe topshelf and revisit it. It is only undercoated. But then I have only had it 7 years - it is practically new by my standards.

As I stated in my post about a pool toy that might fit in for at 28mm Terror Fish,

'As I always like to say, breath holding is contraindicated. My projects often have lovely starts, and then languish, and before you say 'like everyone', I'm talking years to DECADES.'

Nice to hear from a fellow 'My goodness, what a great IDEA; I really must find someone to give it a go, for it shall turn to dust before I do.' ;->=

Ah, well, some like my meanderings...

At long last... Ra's personal bodyguard, the Egyptian Household Cavalry, joins the EMPIRE!

Still need a bunch of infantry but things are coming along... slowly but surely.   :)

I'm currently watching Stargate (television series). You could easily fit in some of that stuff too!

Cheers,

I also really like the overall uniform, so I'll have to do more.   :D

As it turns out, I ended up using Vallejo white.  By far the easiest to apply, smoothly and with nice depth; GW, Foundry and my craft paint just couldn't come close.
