First up, a supply marker that I cobbled up while watching paint dry. Trailer that comes with the Airfix M3 is a near perfect match (well, cheap anyway) for the Polynorm 1 tonne trailer we used tons for for ammunition, cargo and generator use.

I really like the effect you used on the trailer to simulate the cloth. I might have to steal that from you, if you don't mind.

Probably the same Leopards that ended up in Chile and Brazil. Hmm there's a thought, a modern Chilean battlegroup.....

This looks like a great project. Was just wondering how you do the bases, they look really effective.

1.5mm plasticcard, rounded off with a nailclipper  then based with sand from the beach.1 colour plus a drybrush, then add various flcks...well, tufts. That's it really.

Bridgelayer finished. Bridge is detachable, I've built 1 folded and 1 as bridge, with reinforcements to bear heavy resin vehicles if it needs to.

Game pics it is....

Some real, some staged, not too many action shots, as my army was well dug in but never engaged. My SAS did engage the VDV's artillery assets and enjoyed some succes by destroying 1 AA piece, 2 D-30 guns, some troops and a recce APC. My Rapier and my Gepard (when I commanded them that is) both managed to make a kill and survive the game, a Yak and a Hind, so they have deserved the right to a kill marking. My total casualties were extremely light, my engineer team lost their M113 and was down to 50%, but shot some VDV paras and blew the bridge in return. Brutus, the Cent, was attacked with a russian Maverick look-a-like and was heavily damaged. Considering the state it was in anyway, it served his task as the convoy leader and will propably not be repaired but turned into a monument.

Even though the bulk of my army remained dug in all the game, I had one hell of a time and I will certainly do this again. The army will not be forgotten but slowly expanded over time, as it will be called to active duty again around October 2011, or earlier, if any of my opponents desires it.

wow! awesome display, who makes the rapier missile unit? the RAF regiment had these sighted around RAF Laarbruch during the 80s, i often saw them sighted outside the base when on exercise/manuevers

Yes lets entrench next to the gas factory, I'm sure we will be perfectly safe there.
