Whats the saying ?...."only two things in life are certain - death and taxes" ? Well I think we can add a third....."Im starting a terrain project" by Captain Blood is guaranteed to be perfect eye candy.

This is the second piece of work I have now followed and I am just completely staggered by the skill and final product. Amazing work.

Well actually, I picked up this lot when I went to the Algarve on holiday earlier this year - it's where they grow and harvest the stuff. Forests of it, everywhere. I don't think tourists are supposed to help themselves, even where it grows freely by the side of the road. But I found a fallen tree a viewpoint up in the mountains, and liberated a rather large section of the bark as a souvenir

Big poly bags of 1Kg of cork bark for a tenner. You get assorted sizes and shapes in the bag, but I reckon enough in one bag to build almost as many cliffs again as I've created here...
Compared to certain model railway brands where you get one mingy piece of cork bark in a nice little pack for several quid, it's an absolute bargain.

Unless you're going to Portugal that is...
