I am reminded of that depth meter countdown from Das Boot, where they are sinking in the straights of Gibraltar...

I am a little curious to see if the server copes with the Sunday morning rush to vote.

A-hawhawhawhaw! In your face, time! I actually managed to finish painting my round 1 entry, but will have no time for silly things like varnishing. Ugh.

Currently waiting for the first layer of pva and sand to dry on the bases so I can get on with finishing them off. Pictures tomorrow and then an entry...

Gentlemen (and any ladies here present),

From comments on this thread and elsewhere, I estimate that there may be as many as a dozen more entries on their way, that have been signalled.
Plus whatever I don't know about...

In view of this, I think we are very likely looking at 60+ competitors, and in view of that - and the not inconsiderable administrative workload that is going to involve, setting up all those matches each week, and everything that goes with it, I have to tell you I'm going to be very strict about the entry deadline.

If you are planning on taking part, you have until Midday GMT tomorrow, Saturday 13 March to get your Round 1 entry in. That's about 14 hours from now.

If you miss the deadline, I'm really sorry, but I'm not going to be squeezing in any extras an hour or two afterwards. Just so we're clear  :)
