I visited Galland today and took part of his, Kalles and Evanions work with pirate port. I was mesmerized by all the little details that the guys had created for their beautiful board. A true piece of wargaming art.  :)

I love the 'syförening' look of your outfit, Galland. :)

ROFL! Unfortunatly a bit true, we are like a bunch of old ladies, coffee and cinnamon rolls and painting :D
However, we are having a great time and stuff gets done, lots of terrain and minis are getting painted while waiting for various house parts to get made.

Its been a slow progress lately, after being deserted by many of the original crew (a stronger and better word would be Fahnenflucht) its mainly me and Kalle doing all the stuff now. I hope that we will get some help again, when people have sorted their priorities ;-)

GW plastic barrel cannon with Kalles scratchbuilt naval carriage. All items are painted by me.

Old GW metal cannon, will be used as terrain/deco

Tabletop World Water Well, I love this item.

We have had another very nice pirate building weekend so far, today it was BBQ in the garden and loads of building. A bunch showed up and helped out with various tidious work, cutting paper strips, planking and such, wich is time consuming and steals very important building time. If not, I would say that the social aspect is of great value as well of course, lots of gaming bullshit and good eating.
I will post some pictures tomorrow of the lastest building that is near completion.

So, here are our latest house and update. Its the Pilot's (Lotse) house, and are built in two stories, but one floor over ground level wich means its a rather tall building, about 43 cm. Primarely built by Kalle, and painted by me.

Here is the house in all its glory...

The tree stories...

Da chimney...

Roof with roof hatch, mast and ehh... roof contraption. Undead Pirate painted by Anatoli.

First floor, with naval cannon added for that extra safe home protection system. Fashionable compass rose on the floor.

Second floor, nice wooden floor for comfort and elegance...

The entrance with stairs and rope handle... GW dwarf, Mordheim Hired Sword, for scale (painted by me)...

Port side...

Aft side...

I hope you guys like it :)

Awesome, btw guys, a tip is to include fishnets in the terrain. Either as fishnet piles in the harbor or hanging from one side of some shack.

Easily done by taking mosqito net (myggnät) cut it out in desired size and shape, put it in a small container where you have a mix of PVA glue and some ink to make it brown and stir the net with the mixture. Then just apply it to some surface. Looks like this when done:

Simple and looks great imo.

Great tip Anatoli, I'll think about that when fleshing out the harbor with extra details.

I made some stairs for the tavern/cat house:

Please tell me what you think.

That house is just magnificent.  The little details bring it to life.   The crooked chimney and mast rigging on the roof are my favorite parts.  Great work.
This is my boomstick!

My favourite building of what you've shown so far. I need a 'syförening' of my own.
