Those not-Lego Doctor Who figures
« on: 10 May 2011, 02:20:48 PM »
Does anyone have the pack with the Dalek control panels in (based on "Victory of the Daleks")?  If so, can you please tell me if they are modelled or just printed flat onto the basic shape?  It looks from the photo on the package that they are flat-and-printed, but I can't be sure.

Back from the dead, almost.

I zoomed into a larger pic and it really looks like it is stickers to me.

The plates that the sticker is mounted on, consist of 2 parts that separate down the centre vertically and there is no join running down the front.  The top lip shows the front (sticker) to be paper thin so my opinion would be that the front panel would be a sticker (it even has a white edge around it).

I don't have one but I am pretty sure about it being a sticker.

It's a new range from Character Options, called "Character Building".

See also this thread for info about some promotional giveaways:

Billed as "constructible, collectable, compatible" - I take it that means compatible with Lego (which, you may recall, lost an IP court case to defend its brick-joining design), though it may just mean copatible with each other and with the "Character Building HM Armed Forces" range.

I know I'm gonna regret asking this, but how tall are these figures? Cos the Lego iDaleks look quite cool! lol
All I ask is a tall ship, and a star to steer her by...
