Blackwater Gulch Kickstarter Launched!

I made a last minute pledge, wich was all good, but it was a hasty one, since I didnt have that much time, and my Amazon account was giving me so much trouble (it turned out it was me all along I belive) so had to retrive password and whatnots, and it still didnt want to let me go through with it, so I actually though I would miss the whole thing.
I had decided quite some time ago to be part of this, but forgot all about it, and got reminded while browsing older news from a few days ago on Tabletop Gaming News. Luckily, it worked out in the end. I am most exited about this project!

I would like to congratulate Gang Fight Games on the successful kickstarter fundraising project. I suspect raising nearly 6 times the original goal was something he/they didn't expect at all and it shows that a) there is a huge demand for a high-quality old west game and b) that kickstart is an awesome way for fans to support a project no bigger publisher would work on and for small design studios to evaluate market opportunities for niche products.

Although I have not pledged to this particular project, Old West gaming is on my horizon, so to speak, and I may pick it up sometime in the future.

I'm about to sign the deal with a fulfillment and distribution company that will be helping me get my stuff out to stores all over the world They'll also be helping with the printing and production stuff too, so it'll all be streamlined .. all I have to do is make the game, and they do the rest So they'll most likely be the ones shipping out all of the rewards too.

Great to hear, and I am, as I said before, really exited about this project. Its great to be able to see the whole thing develop from start to finished product, a very special feeling for you I am sure, but also for us that are interested customers!

Game Salute is excited to welcome Gangfight Game Studio to our family of design studios! Blackwater Gulch - Gangfights in the Old West recently wrapped up a successful Kickstarter campaign, proving that there’s much love for the wild, wild west.

Blackwater Gulch is a table top hobby game where you and your friends collect small gangs of finely detailed, 30mm miniature men who will fight each other in the fierce and wild west. You will create a gang or posse based on different professions and equipment, breathing life into your men through the skirmishes they win or lose in the town streets and outskirts.

The game is named after the fictional town of Blackwater Gulch, located “somewhere out west”. It’s around 1890 and a gold rush has brought fortune-seekers to town after a local discovery made nationwide news. This also brought a population boom and the town has become overcrowded with unsavory sorts, and not enough lawmen to go around.

Your gang is living in these troubling times. They can be lawmen or outlaws, vigilantes or freedom fighters. You decide who they are, what they can do and why they do it. In the email he sent out he mentioned getting that straightened out when it's time to ship. I don't think that's changed as of now.

Yes, if you didn't add to your pledge, you can add before it ships. I was planning to just do that with Paypal. But, I'm not sure how Game Salute will handle it just yet. They might have something set up on their online store to make things a little easier. We're still working out the little details like that.

Awesome! I'm pretty excited. A buddy at Jordan Con this past weekend also pledged, which floored me. He's one of the guys that is getting a painted gang, you might have had problems with him as he said he didn't care which gang gets painted. We're looking forward to getting some games in!

Yeah I love his stuff But, I want to keep the game pretty much historical, but more like a the hollywood version of the old west.

But one day I do hope to do special holiday models.. someone suggested making zombie versions of some of figs for holloween. I was thinking of a headless horseman too. And we'll need to do a cowboy Santa some day.. lots of fun stuff
