Awesome thread; can't believe I didn't notive it before!

I really like what you did with those venerable minis; you sure know how to breathe new life into them, especially since many of the sculpts are pretty soft and dated. I also really like the use of the original bases and the fact you went through the trouble of casting up your own to have them all based the same. Oh wait; must be my OCD speaking there...

Like many, I really started this hobby with Hero Quest (not counting that box of RTB01 Beakies I got and painted, but didn't know what to do with further ) and this sure brings back memories.

For some time now, I've been collecting all-metal miniatures to substitute the HQ plastics (mine were mutilated with goopy enamel paint jobs back in the day anyway). Eventually, I would like to model the entire HQ board, with slightly larger squares and nice 3D features.

Will you redo the board as well, or will the original board be graced with these excellent minis?

Hate painting and photographing red, really struggle to get a decent balance on the highlights and so on.
Always have hated painting anything red.
