Scissors? Are they used during gameplay? EEK! ;)

Warmachine sells cards and have unit stats in the books
If WARMAHorde players are happy to play for "double exposure", more power to them. Strikes me as quite unneccessary however in such a case that's projected for WzR; I'm quite happy with the MERCS system where the stats don't get repeated.

As a Warmachine & Hordes player I really love the way Privateer Press approaches the rules and stats. Each new book has rules, fluff and models for all factions (something Target Games also did back in 1st edition).
This way I can also see what toys my opponents are getting. So by buying all books, I'm up to date with all of the forces in the game. Of course you have the army books, but these aren't really necessary. Unless you're a Warmachine & Hordes fanboy (jup, guilty) and/or play competitively (jup, guilty).
The cards themselves are essential to gameplay. I can see why people don't like having loose cards on the table as you get more clutter and it distracts from the looks of the game. But to me Warmachine is not really a story-based game, but more a competitive game.

Personally I'd like to have cards on the table. I personally hate the way GW approaches it. Everything is in a book, so you keep flipping back to the book for specifics on models. Urgh. With cards you have everything for your models nearby.

I really did love the way that first edition of Warzone had updates for all the assorted factions in each book. It made for a far more interesting read and really tied in the background. Here's hoping the new Warzone will do something similar and not the GW style army books!

I think I've written this email twice already then deleted it, but...

Are my old WZ figs worth nothing now?

Yes, I assume I can use them until the new sculpts come out (assuming the unit type is still in the game). But all the vets (like me) have tons of figs already and anyone new is going to buy the new sculpts.

I think I missed any window I may have had...

I'm pretty sure Prodos have no plans to send the Bauhaus Magistrates around if you use your old miniatures! I think its more a case of the new ones being updated so sympathetically to the Warzone oeuvre (if you'll parden my French) that you'll just want to update them anyway :)

Me too. Chronopia books are great too this way (a lot of background, new rules, new units, new minis pics, and new artwork).

Still waiting to pledge for some bauhaus renders  :? (and, at this point, for some missing renders for the other factions)
I'm not sure this is the best way to pimp this glorious campaign. In my opinion, prodos should keep posting updates. I know it's not easy, but it would be better if prodos offered some more bonus to the pledgers: people want miniatures. More miniatures!
After all, these models aren't that cheap. That's ok, especially cause they are super high quality, but people here is financing this project, not buying the models only. So, IMO, with this pledge levels, bonus are very important.
With more frequent updates and cool bonus of models, this campaing would fly faster to a bigger result IMO.

If you follow the facebook page, you'll get all the updates. I try and post them here too, but I forget.
The Beta Rules will be available from Midnight tonight.

Also, Bauhaus designs tomorrow. Prodos Games take the weekends off from updates, just so you know too.

The designs are slow, because you are actually experience a real crowd-funding project that is actually happening in real-time. Doing what Kickstarter was actually made for...  ;) Mad, I know!  ;D

Anyway, here's some Necromutants!

Not necessarily final, I think the designer was having some fun with the 'Cyberpunk' look. :) Some things might stay, others might change. I'm personally hoping for 5 'normal' heads and 3 or 4 slightly more off the wall ones, with cybernetics and punky stuff.  :)
They'll be in squad boxes, not sure on numbers yet.

I've got a noob question to make (never entered a Kickstarter before): I've done my pledge -£30 - and now how do I add the so called "add-on"? In this case, I want another Vulcan Battlesuit. I've added more £14 to my pledge but I don't see any way to choose it  ;D Will I choose it when the KS ends?

Well...maybe it is a real time crowdfunding but I still think it could be more effective. And still think that more ready designs weren't that bad. Why so little bonus, then? I do not want to piss on prodos' good fellas great job, only making some consideration.  :)

PS. THe necromutant is great!  :-*

Not sure about the necromutant - looks more like a cult Executioner (elite trooper) than a necro - though the designs on the squad pages are pure necro  :-*

This was first pic I didn't like.  That "Necromutant" is too orderly.  The are supposed to be disheveled and grungy in my take.  But then again, I literally have all armies but Capitol already, so it really doesn't effect me.  I'll be all over those Vulcan's though!
