Great work! Are those miniatures metal?

all my models i painted so far are metal. the dreadnough - part of the squadronbox - is resin.

yes, i have made a short tutorial if i painted my klingon D7. part one is about the green - the main color of the vessels.

here is the tutorial
- although it's in german, you can find the paints i used (vallejo and foundry), the name of the paints are bold within the content.

part two will be published tomorrow!

Cool stuff, looking forward to a battle report with these guys!

How are the call to arms rules? I've played starfleet battles, didn't want to become a lawyer though, so I abandoned it. Played Full Thrust, really enjoyed that one.

Thanks

Still very interested in the size of the 2500 F5 for a 2400 D4 model.

Its not a bad game but it does have some issues.  I've personally moved on to playtesting the Squadron Strike version (can be played in 2d to facilitate using those nice minis).  If I wasn't involved with that venture I might still play ACTA-SF, or I might have moved onto the Starmada version or tried to convert it to Full Thrust.

I'd say the complexity of ACTA-SF is a touch higher than Full Thrust - but just a touch.  Its now where near Star Fleet Battles.

If you are playing every now and then, the issues with ACTA probably won't get to you.  If you try to play regularly though it might become too much.  Its Mongoose we are talking about here afterall.  ;)
